Frequently Asked Questions

How detailed should the Congressional Badge of Bravery (CBOB) narrative information be?

Though supplemental information may be submitted and is available to be considered, the narrative is viewed as the most important description of the incident of bravery that the Review Boards consider when making their recommendations. All narratives should provide a clear understanding of the act(s) of bravery performed. For narratives that detail an incident that involves multiple nominees, it is critical to describe the separate actions of each nominee.
