Frequently Asked Questions

All grant categories have a 24-month project period. Must an applicant then include a 24-month budget narrative and budget detail plan in their application?

Yes, the applicant must propose to use the entire 24-month program period. The Budget Detail Worksheet and the Budget Narrative are now combined in a single document, collectively referred to as the “Budget Detail Worksheet.” All applicants should use the Excel version when completing the proposed budget, except in cases where the applicant does not have access to Microsoft Excel or experiences technical difficulties, in which case they can use the 508-compliant accessible Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) version. Both versions of the Budget Detail Worksheet can be accessed at https://ojp.gov/funding/Apply/Forms/BudgetDetailWorksheet.htm.
