The Body-Worn Camera Toolkit has been redesigned

BJA has redesigned the Body-Worn Camera Toolkit. Launched in 2015, the Toolkit serves as a clearinghouse for criminal justice practitioners interested in planning and implementing a body-worn camera program.


Anticipated FY 2019 Solicitations that Support Law Enforcement

This resource highlights different law enforcement solicitations that are expected to be available from BJA in FY 2019, including opportunities that relate to body-worn cameras, human trafficking investigations, opioids, school safety, and more.


Justice Department Awards $56 Million to Support Law Enforcement Health and Safety

BWC 201: Growing and Sustaining Your BWC Program

On June 18, 2019, at 2 p.m. ET, the BJA-supported Body-Worn Camera Training and Technical Assistance program will host a webinar on sustaining and growing body-worn camera (BWC) programs after the first year of implementation and after receiving approval of the BWC policy development process. Register for the webinar to hear from BWC sites on challenges encountered and successes realized.


Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Program to Support Law Enforcement Agencies

BJA is seeking applications for the FY 2019 Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Program to Support Law Enforcement Agencies. This program furthers the Department's mission by promoting the safety of law enforcement officers and citizens. Apply by: June 5, 2019.


Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Program Training and Technical Assistance

BJA is seeking applications for the FY 2019 Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Program (BWC PIP) Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) opportunity. Through this solicitation, BJA intends to select one TTA provider for BWC PIP to support law enforcement agencies that are planning, expanding, and enhancing their BWC programs. Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Program

The FY 2018 Body-Worn Camera (BWC) Policy and Implementation Program solicitation is now available. This competitive solicitation is for law enforcement agencies seeking to pilot, establish, or enhance BWC policy and implementation programs across the country. Apply by: May 31, 2018.


Body-Worn Camera Funding Now Available

BJA has released funding through the FY 2017 Body-Worn Camera (BWC) Policy and Implementation Program. The intent of this program is to help agencies develop, implement, and evaluate a BWC program. Apply by: February 16, 2017.


Webinar on FY 2017 Body-Worn Camera Grant To Be Held January 17

BJA will hold a webinar on Tuesday, January 17 at 12:30 p.m. ET for grant applicants interested in applying for the FY 2017 Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Program. The webinar will review the solicitation, including eligibility, goals, requirements, funding, and other expectations for agencies of all sizes considering applying for this grant.
