BVP Application Period Is Now Open

The application period is now open for the FY 2014 Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP) Program. Applications are due May 13, 2014.


FY 2013 BVP Award Information
The FY 2013 BVP awards were announced in early October and funds are now available for use. FY 2013 BVP funds can be used toward the purchase of ballistic or stab-resistant vests that are on the current NIJ compliance list and were ordered on or after April 1, 2013. Award information can be found at www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bvpbasi/docs/FY_13_BVP_AWARDS.pdf or by logging into your jurisdiction’s BVP account.

The BVP user login process was updated on 11/22/2011. This update requires all existing users to visit the BVP site to register for a new BVP account and associate it with an existing agency before agency details can be viewed.

To register, please create a new user login and associate it with your current agency by providing your current account login and password. See the BVP Account Creation Checklist for an overview of the steps required, and the BVP User and Agency Registration Guide for more details on this process.

The BVP Program reimburses states, counties, federally recognized tribes, cities, and local jurisdictions up to 50 percent of the cost of body armor vests purchased for law enforcement officers.
